Hey there!

I’m Alana (she/her), a director based in Naarm/Melbourne, bringing a fun yet sensitive lens to everything I do. My journey started in Advertising, where I had the privilege of working with brands like Coles, the Australian Childhood Foundation, Cloak & Dagger, Conti Tyres and Metro Tunnel. I recently wrapped up a Federal Government spot and I’m always looking for the next fun and interesting spot.

On set, I create a space that’s soft, warm, and sometimes a little silly - because when the talent feels comfortable, that’s when the best moments happen.

Having just completed Archived, my short film, I’m now diving into my next venture: Bell St, a TV/web series currently in the funding phase with VicScreen.

As a queer woman, one of my core goals is to uplift and amplify marginalised communities in film. Representation is key on and off camera, and on my sets, I aim for at least an even split of genders—non-binary and all identities included.
