I’m Alana, a director based in Melbourne/ Naarm.

I’m a director with 8 years of experience as a producer, which means I approach ideas with both a creative instinct and a strong sense of how to actually bring them to life.

As a director, I’ve launched brand platforms for Lean Cuisine, NAB and Specsavers, appeared twice on The Gruen Transfer, and directed my first short film in 2023. I also created an artwork series, Love Phones, which exhibited at Midsumma Festival and with Friends of Rhonda.

Alongside that, as a producer I’ve led NAB’s largest brand platform refresh, delivering 16 campaigns in under six weeks, and reimagined the 1926 classic Winnie the Pooh for Who Gives a Crap.

Across both, I focus on visual storytelling, craft, and detail. I’m drawn to ideas that are beautiful, a little weird, and unexpected, and I care deeply about making work with heart, alongside kind, smart people.

Outside of work, I’m usually writing short films, scuba diving, making art or pulling tarot cards.
